Swansea coach Toshack linked with Barnsley job

Barnsley have begun talks with Swansea U23 boss Cameron Toschack over their vacant manager position.

The Championship club were given the all clear by Swansea to contact Toschack.

The 47-year-old, whose father John managed Real Madrid, was part of Leon Bitton's backroom staff after he took over on an interim basis following the dismissal of Paul Clement.

He helped lead the U23's to the Premier League Two title last season, and his side have held their own this term against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Tykes are still on the lookout for a new boss after Paul Heckingbottom quit last week to join Leeds.
