Deputy Black Stars Captain Andre Ayew will miss Swansea's trip to Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.

The Ghanaian rejoined Swansea in the winter transfer window but will be ineligible to play for Swansea on Saturday because he is cup-tied.

Andre Ayew played for West Ham in the FA Cup ruling him out of the game, despite making his debut for Swansea last Saturday.

The 28 year old played a key role as Swansea beat Burnley 1-0 to move out of the relegation.

Swansea City broke their transfer record to bring Andre Ayew back to the club from West Ham.

Ayew has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal after the Swans paid a reported £18 million for his services.

The Hammers forked out £20.5m - then a club record - for the Ghana international 18 months ago, and the midfielder has only started 25 Premier League games since.
