Talent Tavern: Ghanaian youngster Patrick Nuamah on the scoresheet for Brescia against Chievo

Published on: 29 September 2020

Young Italian Ghanaian midfielder Patrick Nuamah scored an incredible solo goal for Brescia last weekend against Chievo in Italy U-17 Youth championship.

The 14-year-old, who was promoted to Brescia's U17 side this season, marked his debut with great defensive ethic and an enthusiastic display of offensive skills. He chased opponents for the ball, tackled aggressively and controlled possession with his range of passes.

But it was his goal that made the deepest impression as he roamed around the right channel demanding for the ball, sped off into the 18 yard box, slalom past an approaching defender by cutting inside to kick the ball past the goalkeeper with his weaker foot.

His remarkable ability to successfully dribble past opponents on the flank to score that magnificent goal got his technical bench on their feet to applaud him. That solo effort, captures his attitude and industry as a young dynamic footballer.

Patrick scored right at the death of the first half in the 45th minute, to restore parity for Brescia who were a goal down. Patrick Nuamah lasted the entire duration of the game which ended in a 2-2 draw.
