The Chief Executive Officer of Tamale City FC, Mohammed Iddi, has commended the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for placing a temporary ban on Aduana FC due to their fans' behavior on Sunday.

Fans of the Ghana Premier League leaders pelted stones at the Tamale-based side, injuring their players and destroying their team bus after the Fireboys won the game with a 90 plus 10 minute penalty.

The GFA acted swiftly and banned the Dormaa Ahenkro-based club from playing their home games at Nana Agyemang Badu I Park temporarily.

Iddi urged club leaders to educate their fans to accept any result that comes their way because that is what football is all about.

"As leaders of the club, we have to come together and educate fans very well on how football is run."

"Football is a fair-play game; you can win today, draw tomorrow, and lose points in other games. That is what football fans should understand."

"I commend the FA for the ban on Aduana FC not playing at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park."
