Brighton & Hove Albion defender, Tariq Lamptey, revealed that Sadio Mane and Marcus Rashford were the toughest opponents he had ever faced.
According to Tariq, the appearance of the former Liverpool winger and Manchester United superstar impressed him. The 22-year-old until his injury against West Ham United was a livewire for Brighton under former manager, Graham Potter and new manager, Roberto De Zerbi.
Speaking to Citi FM, the former Chelsea defender said Mane and Rashford remain the two toughest players he has faced.
"The opponent players I have played against were Sadio Mane and Marcus Rashford," he told Citi FM.
"Last season, these players gave me a tough time. They are fantastic players. The run and the passes are just amazing.
"There are too many players but to just name a few," he added.
Tariq made a total of 23 appearances in all competitions and scored once. He is expected to miss Ghana's matchday five game against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers next month.
