Teen sensation Jeremie undecided on playing for Ghana or Netherlands at the senior level

Dutch-born right-back of Ghanaian descent, Jeremie Frimpong has revealed that he is still undecided about playing for the Orange or Black Stars at the national team level.

Born in Amsterdam, the highly-rated defender spent years in England and hence could also feature for the Three Lions.

However, his strong ties to the Netherland and Ghana gives him the tough choice to make on whether to opt to represent those countries at the national team level.

Though already capped by the junior national teams of the Orange, Jeremie Frimpong remains open to the options available and is not ruling out playing for the Black Stars.

Speaking to Algemeen Dagblad, the defender says making the decision is not easy although he has the support of his parents.

“I can play for England, but that is not even an option for me. I am not English. But I have not yet chosen between Ghana and the Netherlands,” Jeremie Frimpong shared.

The talented full-back added, “What gives me the final push, I don’t know. I can just say it’s not an easy decision. My family tell me, “We support you, regardless of your choice. It’s up to me.”

In the January transfer window, Jeremie Frimpong sealed a sensational move from Scottish giants Celtic to German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
