Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Asibey has shared his delight after helping his side to secure victory over Medeama in matchday 8 of the Ghana Premier League.
Asibey was in fine form when the Phobians inflicted a 3-1 win over the Yellow and Mauves at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Speaking after the game, the former Eleven Wonders defender who emerged as the man of the match expressed his joy after his side win against the CAF Champions League campaigners.
“The feeling is great and amazing” said Asibey as he shares excitement following his outfit victory over Medeama.
“Last season, things didn’t go as expected, but this season, we hope to repay any club that scored us last term. The determination was high because our position on the league standings was not all that good so we needed to win and by God’s grace we were able to win” he added.
A brace from Hamza Issah and an own goal propelled Hearts of Oak to victory in the encounter. Midfielder Godknows Djakpasu grabbed the consolation goal for the visitors.
The win has moved Hearts of Oak to the 13th position with nine points and they will be hoping to continue when they pay a visit to Karela United in their next game.
