The most valuable player in Bulgaria is Bernard Tekpetey

According to Transfermarkt, Bernard Tekpetey is the Bulgarian Efbet Liga's most valuable player.

At 5 million euros, the former Schalke winger is the most expensive player, costing a million euros more than the next-most expensive player.

Tekpetey's teammate at Ludogorets Kiril Despodov is second, Levski Sofia midfielder Filip Krastev is third level on 4 million with Kiril, Ludogorets left back Anton Nedyalkov is fourth with 3 million and CSKA 1948 Ivaylo Chochev occupies the fifth place with 2.50 million.

Bernard Tekpetey has made 19 appearances, scored eight goals, and assisted five in the Bulgarian top flight this season.

The 25-year-old has reiterated that he is aiming at playing in the top five European leagues in the coming transfer windows.

In an interview, the experienced forward declared his intention to return to one of Europe’s top five leagues having played in the Bundesliga with Schalke.

“The club [Ludogorets] is trying to do everything for me to be happy and stay and for me, I am trying to be patient because I have a lot of offers but it’s not on my side [to decide],” he told Joy Sports.

“We will see what will happen in the next four months or the next window. For sure, I want to have a new challenge.”

“I want to see myself playing in England or any of the top five leagues, even if it is to go back to Germany.”
