Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Henry Asante Twum has hinted that there would be changes in the technical set-up of the Black Stars.

Footballghana.com on Monday reported that goalkeepers trainer, Richard Kingson is likely to be sacked.

He would be replaced by an expatriate. Meanwhile, video analyst of the team, Awal Kamin will also be shown the exit.

Henry Asante Twum speaking to Graphic Sports in an interview admitted that the newly-appointed trainer of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton had made some recommendations but refused to make further comments on the reported changes in the technical team.

According to him, the changes in the technical team would be announced on Monday during the unveiling of Hughton in Kumasi.

“I’m aware he has made some recommendations in his technical department but I can’t say anything until he is unveiled," he said.

“I believe every concern would be addressed at his unveiling so I think we must wait for that day to know everything about the team,” said Asante Twum.

Chris Hughton has replaced Otto Addo as the new head coach of the Black Stars. He would be assisted by Didi Dramani and George Boateng.

The former Newcastle and Brighton boss will take on Angola in his first game in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers later this month.

Ghana will host Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on March 23 before the reverse leg game in Luanda in four days' time.
