This is not our standard - Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara after beating Bechem United to survive relegation

Hearts of Oak's head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, expressed dissatisfaction despite his team narrowly avoiding relegation from the Ghana Premier League.

In a dramatic final-day showdown, Hearts staged a comeback against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, with Yaw Amankwah Baafi scoring the decisive goal to secure their place in the top flight for another season.

Reflecting on their survival, Ouattara admitted his disappointment, emphasizing that such a precarious position is not where Hearts of Oak belong.

"To be honest, I'm not particularly happy because this is not where Hearts of Oak should be," he lamented.

"At the start of the second round, we were only seven points behind the league leaders after a few matches.

"Today, we've struggled to avoid relegation. It's a very difficult situation for us," he added.

Hearts of Oak's survival meant that Great Olympics joined Bofoakwa Tano and Real Tamale United as the clubs relegated from the league this season.
