The club played its first game of the 2020/2021 football season today when they hosted their matchday opponent at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Arsenal target Thomas Partey missed out on a starting role but was later introduced in the second half to replace Yannick Carrasco.

On the Matchday, Diego Costa opened the scoring for Atletico Madrid after just 9 minutes into the first half.

With that goal separating the two teams at halftime, Angel Correa will add a second 2 minutes into the second half.

Though Granada pushed to find a way, Atletico Madrid had too much firepower and continued to run riot with additional goals from Joao Felix, Marcos Llorente, and a debut brace for Luis Suarez.
