Ghanaian international, Thomas Partey has stressed that he is focused on playing his football at Atletico Madrid even though he has other responsibilities to perform for Alcobendas Sport where he is a part-owner.

The budding midfielder has already started life after football following his decision to buy shares in a lower division club in Spain.

Whiles that also comes with different responsibilities, the Black Stars middle man has indicated that his primary focus is on fulfilling his obligations with Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

"Right now I'm not too involved, the decisions are made by Jose Jimenez Senior," he said.

“I also have to play and I must be more focused on Atletico than here.

“We are there when they need it”, the 26-year-old shared.

He further opened up on the decision to acquire shares in the club and explained that the goal for Alcobendas Sport in the ongoing campaign is to avoid relegation.

“It was their idea. Since they have an agency that brings many players from Africa, I thought it would be good to have a team where they could be managed and where we could train these players for the future.

“The goal for this season has to be that, in addition to avoiding relegation”, Partey added.
