Kheira Hamraoui, a former Barcelona women's star, was reportedly assaulted by masked men on the orders of her Paris Saint-Germain teammate Aminata Diallo, according to multiple outlets.
Hamraoui was allegedly assaulted with an iron bar and required stitches, though Diallo has since been released awaiting further investigation.
More information was released on Monday, indicating that things have taken a weird turn.
According to Le Monde, which was published by Mundo Deportivo, the assassination may have been ordered by the wife of former Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal.
It's also claimed that Hamraoui called Abidal the day after the attack, that her phone is registered to him, and that the attackers told her during the assault that "sleeping with married guys" was the cause.
