Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways on Wednesday night with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Hull City at White Hart Lane.

24-year-old midfielderChristian Eriksen scored twice for the Lilywhites, almost netting a thirdonly for Victor Wanyama to capitalise when hisfree-kick struck the post.

But it was Tottenham and Eriksen's opener that earned the plaudits, as no less than 30 passes were made in the lead up to the goal.

This breaks the Premier League record for the season, which wasset by Arsenal in October following a 22-pass move.

Left-back Danny Rose was instrumentalin the build up to the goal, bursting down the left after sustained Spurs pressure before cutting a ball into Eriksen, who confidently made it 1-0 within 15 minutes

Speaking after the game, Eriksen said: "We left some points at Old Trafford and it was important to respond and win well..."

The Denmark international is now in fine form following a slow start to the season, he has five goals in his last four games and manager Pochettino is delighted with his player's work-ethic.

"He [Eriksen]was aggressive in possession,"The Daily Mailquote Pochettino as saying."That's what we want from our players. I'm pleased for him because he's working hard to improve and it's important that not only our strikers score."

The win leaves Spurs in 5th after 16 Premier League games, 10 points behind league-leaders Chelsea and three points above Manchester United who are snapping at their heels following Sunday's 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
