Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban has expressed his excitement after scoring for Trabzonspor in their 5-2 thrashing of Çaykur Rizespor in the 2019/20 Turkish Super Lig at the Şenol Güneş Stadium.

Ekuban scored his side's second goal in the 71st minute after Manuel Dacosta had cancelled out Dario Melnjak's strike for Rizespor.

Later on, goals from Jose Sosa, Anthony Nwakaeme and Badou Ndiaye put the icing on the cake despite Milan Skoda reducing the deficit for Çaykur Rizespor.

"We did not start the first half well. If we played the second-half like did in the first half, we knew we could solve the situation," he said in a post-match interview.

"We are happy at the end of the day. We are family, not a team. This family has a dream, we want to make it happen."

Caleb Ekuban emerged as one of the standout players for Trabzonspor while he lasted the entire duration of the game.
