Lewis Holtby to Newcastle United

Newcastle may rekindle their interest in former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Holtby. The 27-year-old, now with Hamburg, was left out the Bundesliga's club squad on Saturday with his future in the balance. Holtby is out of contract at the end of the season but may be offloaded in January with Hamburg no longer viewing him as unsellable. That could lead Newcastle, who were interested in him in the summer, to launch a bid in the January transfer window, with manager Rafael Benitez determined to bolster his squad.

Mouctar Diakhaby to Chelsea

Chelsea are considering a move for Lyon centre-back Diakhaby. The 20-year-old has attracted interest from Manchester City and Juventus recently after impressing for the Ligue 1 side. The 6-foot-4 defender played in both of Lyon's Europa League wins over Everton. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to add another defender to his ranks and the Italian believes Diakhaby could be a future star at Stamford Bridge.

Emre Can to Manchester City

Premier League leaders Manchester City are preparing a shock move for Liverpool midfielder Can. The Germany international has not signed a new contract at Anfield amid suggestions that he believes his future lies elsewhere. Can has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, but according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, City could beat what the Serie A club are able to offer the 23-year-old. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently admitted he was powerless to stop Can leaving Anfield. "We have to respect his contract is ending and that is how it is," the German said via Sky Sports.

James Maddison to Everton

Everton are tracking highly rated Norwich City midfielder Maddison. The 20-year-old has been in excellent form for the Canaries this season, scoring four goals and claiming five assists in 17 appearances. Everton director of football Steve Walsh watched Maddison during Saturday's defeat to Bolton and is not put off by the fact the player is under contract at Carrow Road until 2021.

Harry Winks to Barcelona

Harry Winks has emerged as a Barcelona target after the Catalan club's sporting director, Robert Fernandez, watched the Spurs midfielder during the win over Real Madrid at Wembley last week. Barca are also interested in Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen as a possible long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta but have been impressed by the emergence of Winks, who has established himself as a regular for Mauricio Pochettino. The England international, 21, has been offered a new contract by Spurs but is yet to sign it. His deals runs until 2022.
