According to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, Newcastle United's defensive objectives for the January transfer window include Paris Saint-Germain defender Abdou Diallo.
Newcastle, who are currently in 19th place and have lately come under the ownership of a Saudi Arabian state-owned fund, will be trying to strengthen their team during the winter ahead of a relegation struggle.
The 25-year-old joined PSG for €32 million from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and is thought to have settled in well. The former Monaco man is still on the Premier League club's radar, but it's unclear whether they'll be able to persuade him to join. His deal runs out at the end of the 2023/24 season.
