Tunisian trainer Jani Tarek says he is in contact with Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak for the vacant coaching role.

Tarek has been earmarked to take over from Kim Grant, who parted ways with the club on Tuesday after only one game in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

According to reports reaching Footballghana.com, negotiations between both parties have reached an advanced stage and he is expected to sign a deal with the club in the coming days.

The 40-year-old, who recently terminated his contract by mutual consent with Ivorian side San Pedro, claims he will be delighted to work the Phobians.

"I am in communication with Ghanaian side Hearts of Oak to take over the technical leadership of the team," the Tunisian technical brain said on Wednesday.

"Negotiations are still going on, of course I would be happy to work with one of the oldest African clubs."

The highly-rated coach has been on the radar of the Phobians after leading San Pedro to knock out Asante Kotoko in the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup.
