Head coach of the Black Meteors, Ibrahim Tanko will trim down his 29-man provisional squad before the start of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The gaffer on Thursday, June 8, named his provisional squad for the important tournament.
In the next few weeks, coach Ibrahim Tanko has the headache of axing eight players from the provisional squad.
He only has the liberty to take 21 players to the CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to be staged in Morocco from June 24 to July 8.
At the U23 AFCON, Ghana has been pitted in Group A where the Black Meteors will face off with their counterpart from host nation Morocco.
The other opponents in the group include Guinea and Congo.
