Assistant coach of Black Meteors, Godwin Attram says they will not underrate any opposition ahead of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana have arrived in Cairo to continue their preparations for the tournament.

The Black Meteors have been housed in Group A alongside, host country, Morocco, Congo and Guinea.

Ahead of the tournament, Attram admits that they are in a difficult group but they will not underrate any side.

“It’s very tough, a country that played in the qualifier and qualified meaning they are very good, you can’t underrate anyone," he told Radio Gold.

“There is no underdog in this tournament, all the countries are there to participate and qualify and we are going with a different mentality, very strong mentality, winning mentality, make sure the country will be safe and qualify to France as the technical head, Ibrahim Tanko always preaches to us," he added.

Ghana will be hoping to make the three finalists to secure a place in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Kamaldeen Sulemana, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer and Ernest Nuamah will join the team after participating in the AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Madagascar.

Group A matches will be held at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex while Group B matches will take place at the Grand Stade de Tanger, in Tangier.
