Ghana’s midfielder dynamo, Thomas Partey and his Atletico Madrid side will take on RB Leipzig in the quarter-final of this season’s Uefa Champions League competition.
The pairing of the Spanish La Liga giants and the German Bundesliga outfit has been confirmed today by UEFA at a short ceremony to confirm how the competition will be concluded in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.
For safety reasons, the tournament is being moved to Portugal and will be played in one-off games.
Having knocked out defending champions Liverpool, Atletico Madrid will be hoping to cruise past Leipzig in the next stage of the tournament to enhance their chances of lifting the title at the end of the season.
Thomas Partey who has been a key asset for the Rojiblancos will be instrumental for the Spanish side in the Uefa Champions League which will be staged in Lisbon next month.
