Uganda announce international friendly with Ghana set for March 26

The Black Stars of Ghana are set to face off against Uganda in an upcoming international friendly match later this month.

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed that the Ugandan national team, known as the Cranes, will take on Ghana's senior national team in March's international friendlies to be held in Morocco.

According to the statement released by FUFA, the match is scheduled to take place on March 26, 2024, at the Stade Grande Marrakech in Morocco.

Notably, Ghana is currently without a permanent head coach following the dismissal of Irish-born Ghanaian coach Chris Hughton after the Black Stars' early exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is anticipated to announce the appointment of a new head coach for the Black Stars in the near future. The newly appointed coach's first task will be leading the team in the international friendly against Uganda.

The last encounter between these two teams occurred during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, resulting in a goalless draw.
