Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris now has four goals in four matches after his latest strike for Lorient at Toulose on Saturday night in the French Lique 1.
After a miserable nine months without a goal for his club the Ghanaian has suddenly found form with just a month to the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
However, his Lorient side were edged 3-2 by their hosts courtesy a hat-trick by Swedish striker Ola Toivonen at the Stade Municipal.
Camerounian striker Benjamin Moukandjo scored the other consolation goal for Lorient.
Waris return to form will serve as a boost to Ghana coach Avram Grant who is billed to name his squad for AFCON 2017 in the coming weeks.
