La Liga club Valencia have been urged by the Spanish media to shelve away some cash to purchase in-demand defender Mohammed Salisu from Real Valladolid.

The 20 year old has been in the limelight for his excellent performances in the league this season. He has been linked with moves to Rennes, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United.

Valencia are looking for a new centre back and have been heavily linked to Fiorentina defender German Pezzalla. His price may prove too costly especially during the coronavirus period according to the Spanish press.

With the futures of Ezequiel Garay , Mouctar Diakhaby and Eliaquim Mangala uncertain, Salisu has been mentioned as a suitable option to join the club. His current release clause stands at just 12 million euros, a fee considered a huge bargain for a player of his quality.

Sources have indicated that Valladolid would want to keep him for another season but will have no option than to sell if his release clause is met.
