Veteran trainer Annor Walker set to be named Hearts of Oak coach after leaving FC Samartex

Veteran Ghanaian trainer, Annor Walker is set to be named the new head coach of Hearts of Oak after parting ways with FC Samartex 1996.

The former Great Olympics trainer led the debutants Ghana Premier League side to finish in the 10th position with 46 points.

However, multiple reports suggest that the former Berekum Chelsea gaffer will be named as the head coach of Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

He is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Rainbow Club.

FC Samartex 1996 secured the services of Annor Walker prior to the start of the 2022/23 season started after a squabble with Great Olympics over his signature.

Despite having one year remaining on his contract with Samartex, Walker has left the side. He is expected to revive the Phobian Club after a poor season in the 2022/23 season after finishing 12th on the pile with 46 points.

Annor Walker is also a former Black Galaxies head coach.
