VfL Bochum plans to extend Christopher Antwi-Adjei's contract

A contract extension with attacking player Christopher Antwi-Adjei is planned by Bundesliga outfit VfL Bochum.

The working paper for the 29-year-old will end this coming summer. According to Sport Bild, Christopher Antwi-Adjei will sign a new deal if the Revierklub gets its way.

There will likely be more cooperation because discussions are shortly scheduled, according to the trade publication.

In May 2021, VfL Bochum, newly promoted to the Bundesliga, announced the signing of Antwi-Adjei for the 2021–22 season. He signed a contract until 2024 and joined on a free transfer from SC Paderborn.

The winger has made 65 appearances in all competitions for VfL Bochum. He has scored four goals and assisted 12 since joining the Blues in 2021.

VfL Bochum is struggling in the league this season. On match day 5 they were thrashed 7-0 by Bayern Munich. Bochum is 14th in the 2023/24 Bundesliga with three points.

VfL Bochum will play Borussia Mönchengladbach in their next league game.
