Christian Conteh, the latest addition to VfL Osnabrück, is bursting with real joy as he begins his new chapter with the club.
"VfL Osnabrück really convinced me; I'm happy to be here," Conteh says, conveying a genuine feeling of excitement and appreciation for his new footballing family.
Conteh signed a deal with VfL Osnabrück on Thursday afternoon and will represent the Lila-Weißen in the 2nd Bundesliga. On Matchday 2 (4 August), he will face his brother Sirlord, who competes for SC Paderborn 07.
"The VfL managers really tried hard for me and gave me the feeling that they were counting on me and my strengths. That really convinced me, which is why I decided to join VfL despite requests from other clubs and I'm happy to be here," Conteh said.
"Tomorrow I can then get to know my new teammates during training and already on Saturday at the VW Cup the Bremer Brücke as a VfL player. I am very excited,"
