Video: Black Stars arrive in Kumasi ahead of Angola clash

Tuesday afternoon saw the arrival in Kumasi of the twenty-five players invited for Ghana's doubleheader against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The technical team led by Chris Hughton and his assistants Didi Dramani and George Boateng traveled to Kumasi with the Black Stars of Ghana. Skipper Andre Ayew received the welcome flowers on behalf of the entire squad.

The team will train at the Baba Yara Stadium at 4:00 pm ahead of the game against Angola on Thursday.

Defender Kingsley Schindler has been called up to replace the injured Tariq Lamptey for the doubleheader.

The German-born player who is yet to be capped by Ghana arrived in Accra on Monday to join the rest of the squad. Schindler currently plays for FC Koln in the German Bundesliga.

The Black Stars will host Palancras Negras at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27, 2023 for the reverse fixture.
