VIDEO: Cristiano Ronaldo Appears to Stamp on Legia Warsaw Defender in 3-3 Champions League Draw

Published on: 02 November 2016

Footballs fans across the globe know that if things don't go Cristiano Ronaldo's way, he usually gets into a strop and vents his frustration.

The Real Madrid superstar has often been seen pouting, throwing his arms in the air and screaming at teammates over their inability to help him continue his superb goalscoring streak, but the forward appeared to go one step further in Wednesday's Champions League encounter against Legia Warsaw.

Los Blancos had seen a commanding 2-0 lead -thanks to Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema -extinguished by the hosts as Legia turned the match on its head to lead 3-2 at one point.

Thankfully for Real, Mateo Kovacic's late strike spared their blushes for what would have beena shock defeat, but even that could not temper Ronaldo's frustration on the night after he misseda host of gilt-edged goalscoring opportunities.

Instead, the 31-year-old appeared to stamp on one of Legia's defenders during one particular phase of play:

Surprisingly, the incident hasn't garnered much reaction on Twitter. Only Ronaldo will know if he truly meant to do what he did or whether it was an unfortunate accident- either way, it's been a slow start to the season for the former Manchester United strikerand he'll be looking to remedy that as soon as possible.
