Accam joined Philadelphia Union from fellow Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire in a deal worth over $1 million.
Accam gives Philadelphia one of its first major moves in this offseason and immediately upgrades the Union's attacking corps. Philadelphia has needed more attacking talent in recent years. American forward CJ Sapong scored 16 goals last season, but no other Union player had more than seven goals.
