Black Stars defender Edwin Gyimah was involved in a near fatal accident on Monday morning in his hometown - Obuasi.

The Orlando Pirates player and a female companion identified as Linda Owusu were in the front seat of his Hyundai Sonata Saloon car which had a head-on-collision with a taxi cab.
Gyimah suffered cuts to his head but declined treatment at the hospital while Linda was rushed to the AGA Health Foundation Hospital in Obuasi.
