England-born Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante's penalty helped propel West Brom to victory against Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening.

The attacker started for his team in the English Championship game played at the Hawthorns.

The young Brandon Thomas-Asante played as the leading striker today as the team chased a win.

In the Round 13 game of the English Championship, West Brom played well in the first half but a strong showing from QPR forced the first 45 minutes to end in a stalemate.

After recess, the hosts continued to push until the team was awarded a penalty kick in the 59th minute.

Brandon Thomas-Asante stepped up and dispatched the penalty to give West Brom the lead.

Later in the game, a strike from Grady Diangana in the 68th minute sealed the 2-0 win to give West Brom a 2-0 win to secure all three points.

This season, Brandon Thomas-Asante has played 10 league games for West Brom. He has two goals and one assist.
