In a thrilling encounter in the Norwegian Eliteserien, Ghanaian forward Christopher Baah delivered an outstanding performance, leading Sarpsborg 08 to a well-deserved 3-1 victory over Aalesund on Monday.
The 18-year-old prodigy wasted no time in leaving his mark on the game, as he netted an impressive opener just 19 minutes into the first half with a sweet left-footed drive from distance.
Sarpsborg extended their advantage in the 36th minute when Joachim Soltvedt found the back of the net.
However, Aalesund showed resilience and fought back valiantly, with talented Ghanaian forward Isaac Atanga pulling one back for his side in the 39th minute, narrowing the deficit.
Despite Aalesund's efforts to mount a comeback, Sarpsborg stood firm in the second half, restoring their two-goal advantage.
In the 68th minute, Bjorn Utvik sealed the victory for Sarpsborg with a well-executed strike to wrap up the 3-1 score line at Sarpsborg Stadion.
Baah has now made his 8th appearance for the winning side.
