Leonard Owusu immediately made his presence on the field felt when he was substituted on to provide an assist in Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 win over local rivals Montreal Impact in the MLS at the BC Place.
Since moving from Israeli side Ashdod FC during the winter transfer window the 23-year-old has been a key player for Vancouver Whitecaps.
The former Dreams FC player replaced Thelonius Blair in the 62nd minute and quickly provided the creativity spark which was missing in the Whitecaps midfield.
Owusu setup Fredy Montero in the 78th minute and the attacker made no mistake by hitting the ball past the opposing goalkeeper for Whitecaps third goal and Montero's second goal in the game.
