Aston Villa legend Ian Taylor has commended Ghana international Jordan Ayew for his superlative display as a winger in their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Ayew who played on the right-side of midfield set up both goals for Ross McCormack and Rudy Gestede’s but his side capitulated to a late goal from former Arsenal man Henri Lansbury.
Ayew's Man of the Match performance saw Villa legend Taylor singling him out for praise.
“Jordan Ayew was our shining light,” Taylor said. “He caused problems coming inside.” Taylor said
Villa’s draw with Forest capped a disppointing start to the season as they are currently languishing in 17th place.
Roberto Di Matteo’s Villa side travel to play Brentford on Wednesday.
