WAFA early season performance delights captain Gideon Waja

Captain of WAFA Gideon Waja is delighted with his side's early season performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The Sogakofe-based club have accumulated five points from their opening five games, however their display in games have been delightful especially when they travelled to the Accra Sports Stadium last week Thursday to share the spoils with Great Olympics when many believe they will fall heavily due to their struggles when playing on bumpy pitches.

And their young skipper has reiterated his desire that they maintain their good form in subsequent games in the league.

“So far so good, things have been going well, although we wish we had better results than what we are getting now,” he told the media.

“I am very happy with our performance but there is more work to be done, we need to keep on fighting.

“We always go into every game with the mentality to win and so we will put in more effort.”

WAFA occupy 7th spot on the league log.
