Black Satellites coach Karim Zito is delighted to seal qualification to the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship in Benin.
Precious Boah’s late free-kick gave Ghana a 1-0 win over Nigeria in their Group B opener on Wednesday.
The Satellites scored the only goal of the game in the 77th minute. The slim win gave Ghana a sweet revenge against one of the country’s old nemesis, Nigeria.
Speaking at his post match press conference, coach Karim Zito said, "I am very happy that I’ve qualified to the next stage."
"For now I’m not thinking of Cote D’Ivoire now. I’m going home to rest and think of what next."
Ghana will play Ivory Coast next on December 12 in the final group game with an eye on finishing top.
