Wahab Ackwei was in action in Rio Grande Valley FC's 1-1 draw with Monterey Bay FC in Edinburg, Texas on Friday evening.

The Toros had their first real chance of the game when they earned a free kick in the eighth minute and attempted to knock it in, but the goal was called back for offside.

Christian Volesky of Monterey Bay found the back of the net a minute later, but his goal was also called back for the same punishment.

Chase Boone, a forward for Monterey Bay FC, developed the counter in the 63rd minute and spotted Alex Dixon making a run through the Toros back line. After that, Dixon broke up the game and gave Crisp and Kelp a 1-0 lead by deceiving the goalie and sliding the ball past the line and into an empty net.

The Union had 10 men for the remaining 19 minutes of the game when Mobi Fehr received a second yellow card and was sent off eight minutes later.

Then just a minute into stoppage time, the Toros found the equalizer on a strike from Taylor Davila. Erik Pimentel of Rio Grande was also sent off for violent conduct in added time.

Wahab Ackwei played full throttle, he made two clearances, two interceptions, one block shot, one tackle, 53 touches, one successful cross, 80% pass accuracy, and one shot on target. The 26-year-old was given a 7.4 rating by Fotmob.
