Walter Mazzarri toldSky Sportsthat hewas delighted to see his team pick up an emphatic 4-2 victory at the London Stadium, turning around a 2-0 scoreline against them to easily claim their first win of the season.

Despite Michail Antonio's brace of first-half headers, Watford pulled two back before half time through strikers Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney. In the second half, Etienne Capoue and José Holebas netted the third and fourth to seal a dramatic result.

"We didn't start very well, mainly in the defensive part, because West Ham had almost all of the stadium for them, they came to us in a very positive way", admitted Mazzarri.

"Unfortunately it was very hard for us in the beginning, but then we started playing our football and the result came."

Forwards Deeney and Ighaloscored their first league goals of the season, but Mazzarri was not too concerned that they had no goals to their tally in the previous matches. It was Etienne Capoue's goal that caught his interest.

"For me, the important thing is that the group wins. It doesn't really matter who scores but of course if the forwards score, it is better for their confidence."

"We worked very hard on Capoue. He's a very valuable player for us and the reason that he is scoring is because the whole group is playing well, and this is very helpful."

"The group knows that we can win these important games. It's extremely important for our confidence."

Watford have now picked up four points from their opening four games of the season, but the first win will come as some relief to Hornets fans.
