Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong is still struggling to come to terms with their disappointing 1-1 draw with Inter Allies after his side wasted a glut of scoring opportunities.

The marauding full-back who has scored four-goals this season believes that if his side were more clinical in front of goal during the match on Saturday at Tema they would have carried the day.

“We could have killed the game in the first half. He had many opportunities in the first half but we couldn’t score,” he said in a post match interview.

“In games like this you always have to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way but we could utilize our chances which allowed Inter-Allies to equalize.”

Despite their missed chances, Kotoko went into the break with a one-goal advantage only to be punished for their profligacy by a superb long-range stunner from Allies' Fredrick Yamoah in the second half.

The Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to get back to winning-ways when they host Bechem United in their next game at the Baba Yara stadium.
