Watford star Will Hughes has stated that the players were to blame for the disappointing loss against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Despite leading 2-0 at one point and earning a last minute penalty, Watford suffered a excruciating 3-2 defeat at Goodison Park over the weekend and a frustrated Hughes has stated that the Hornets have only themselves to blame for the stunning collapse on the day.
"There is a massive frustration on our part. They didn't have to do anything special to get back in the game and it was an error from us," Hughes said.
"That happens in games and it gave them a lot of momentum. From then on with the score at 2-1 and the crowd behind them, it is game on.
"We have to look at ourselves, considering how comfortable we were at 2-0 up. Everyone knows that 2-0 is a tricky scoreline, especially away from home. As soon as they got the goal it makes it difficult and we only have ourselves to blame."
