Ghana’s opponent in the Group Stage of the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, South Africa are in the search for a new head coach, footballghana.com can report.

The Bafana Bafana as they are called recently parted ways with coach Molefi Ntseli following his failure to secure qualification to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nationa (AFCON) tournament in Cameroon.

In the absence of a head coach, the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has started plans to bring on board a new handler.

Having opened applications for the qualified persons to apply, the South Africa football association has received close to 200 CV’s of coaches interested in the job.

This has been confirmed by Jack Maluleke who is the chairperson of the technical committee for SAFA during an interview with SAFM.

Top officials of SAFA are expected to hold a meeting in the next few days to put together a shortlist of the coaches with the best chance of landing the vacant job.
