Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, says the club is delighted to have Aboubakar Ouattara as head coach.

The club named the Ivorian trainer as the replacement for Dutch coach Martin Koopman as head coach ahead of the second round of the ongoing 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.

Under Ouattara, the Phobians got off to a brilliant start going on a five-game unbeaten run before slumping to three straight losses.

However, Hearts of Oak rebounded in fine style with a 3-1 win over Karela United in a game that had Salim Adams score one of the goals of the season.

Speaking to Citi Sports. Sowah-Odotei opined that the club was very happy to have him Ouattara on board.

“We are extremely delighted to have him in our team. Ouattara brings to board huge experience in the management of football, huge experience understanding of the business of football and huge experience and how to collaborate with team owners with all levels of a football club.”

“We are extremely happy with him and it is our hope that we will be able to maintain him for a very long time," he added.

Hearts of Oak, who sit 9th on the Premier League log with 35 points will be hosted by Legon Cities in the Matchday 27 games this weekend at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu.
