Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara says winning the Ghana Premier League title is not their focus but to improve after every game.

The Ivorian gaffer has been impressive recording three wins out of the first five games.

The Phobians currently sit 7th on the Premier League log with 32 points with seven points separating them from league leaders following their good start in the second half of the season.

Despite their heroic start in the second round, Ouattara says his aim is to see his players improve and win games.

According to him, winning the ultimate is not their focus.

"I have no magic, all I have is hard work and strategy. In our past games, we have consistently looked for opportunities to capitalize on the mistakes made by our opponents," he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

"A special thank you to the players for accepting the project in good faith, and to the fans who consistently turn out in large numbers to support us.

"We are taking things one step at a time, match by match, and are not focused on winning the league. Instead, we are trying to get the guys to play well but I can never guarantee the supporters the league title," he added.

Hearts of Oak will travel to play FC Sarmatex at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in the Matchday 23 games.
