Captain of Division one side New Edubiase United Stephen Manu says he and his teammates are not aware of the club’s decision to boycott the Normalization Committee Special competition.

President of the club Abdul Salam Yakubu has stated his club will not compete in the upcoming Normalization Committee Special Competition.

But according to the striker, the President of the club has not communicated the decision to the players.

“Since the Anas Exposé, none of the Edubiase players has received even Ȼ1 from our team owner or the management,” he told Metro FM Sports in Sunyani,

“Our president didn’t tell us about his decision not to let Edubiase participate in the competition. I tried reaching him on phone but he is not picking my call.

He added: “We don’t have any problems with him, but we have given him up to Monday if we, don’t hear from him, he will hear from us,” he warned.

New Edubiase United were on top of the Zone Two table during the Division One League and were inches away from qualifying for the Ghana Premier League until the Anas Exposé truncated the league.
