Coventry City's latest signing, Brandon Thomas-Asante, has declared his readiness for the upcoming 2024/25 English Skybet Championship season.
The Sky Blues are set to face Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday, August 10.
Although Thomas-Asante made his debut in a pre-season match against German side Werder Bremen, where Coventry suffered a defeat, the 25-year-old expressed his enthusiasm and preparation for the upcoming match during an interview on the club's official website.
He also shared his hopes of scoring his first goal for the team.
"Goals, and excitement. Moments. I love to be expressive and instinctive," he said.
"I am playing freely which is something the manager has ensured he will allow me to do. I am super excited for that.
"The club knows they are on the cusp of the Premier League, we obviously missed out a couple of years ago in the play-off final. We want that. Each of us, every player.
"I have had my eyes on the Premier League, I have always had my eyes on it. I feel like coming here, it will put me in that position. That is the task of the team and the club, from the owner all the way down to the fans, we are going to make it happen.
"We are ready for Stoke, we are going to take it to them," he added.
Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 11:30 am.
