'We Can Play Better' Admits Sean Dyche Despite 3-2 Victory Over Bournemouth

Sean Dyche still wants Burnley to improve, even after a 3-2 win over Bournemouth which saw his side extend their home run to sixteen points for the season already.

Stephen Ward and George Boyd scored well-taken goals to aid the Clarets' cause, but the highlight was an unbelievable strike from Jeff Hendrick.

"I still think we're learning as a side," Dyche toldSky Sports. "We can still play better, use the ball better but the mentality, as you saw, is very firm here."

"We wanted to take the game on because they've just had a great win against Liverpool. Freedom came to them because they were two goals down, I thought they ended the half strong."

Dyche brought the likes of Ashley Barnes on midway through the second half, and the substitutions helped stifle any hope of aBournemouth revival similar to the one shown against Liverpool:"Really super pleased with my substitutions today, I don't usually say that but I thought it had a massive effect."

Bournemouth's first goal came just before the half-time interval, but the referee played more time than he had indicated.

"I just don't know where the time's come from. We've had that happen to us before with Arsenal, it's like 'go on then, have a chance.'"

Burnley have been excellent at Turf Moor, but would be well clear of the relegation zone if not for their lamentable away record.

"We'll have to see. It is tough going away in the Premier League, but I will say there's clarity in the thoughts of the players."
