Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan encouraged his colleagues and fans to get used to the absence of the VAR system in the Serie A for the remainder of the season.

There have been discussion to scrap the VAR system for the rest of the season in the Serie A to protect health of match officials. The VAR system started in the Serie A during the 2017/18 season.

In his interview with Correire dello Sport, he admitted that it will be strange to be able to cheer immediately after a goal again.

“It would be strange to be able to cheer immediately for a goal without having to wait (laughs, ndc), but safety and health must come first. It took a while to get used to the Var, now we may have to go the opposite way. "
