Otto Addo has stated that Ghana is blessed with good players who are also young. The 47-year-old resigned after Ghana's 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in the final group game which was played at the Al Janoub Stadium on Friday evening.

Black Stars got a penalty early in the first half but skipper Andre Ayew missed the kick. Uruguay scored twice through Giorgian De Arrascaeta. Uruguay also exited the tournament after South Korea beat Portugal 2-1.

Speaking at Ghana Football Association's media briefing after Ghana's exit from the tournament Otto Addo said:

"I see a lot of room for improvement especially because we have young players and we have very good players. So this is a normal thing there is no one game I have seen that we could have done better.

"It will too long to go into details but there are a lot of things to learn. To give you very small examples I did not talk to the players about it but there are small things that we can learn from the Uruguayans that is mentality,"

"If you just take the penalty if you watched it close how many Uruguayans came for the second ball like six or seven players with us nobody was there to take the chance. So its about the mentality to believe also to be ready for everything. This is definitely a thing young players have to learn,"
