Nations FC head coach, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, says his team deserve their win over Aduana FC.
The Premier League debutants recorded a 2-1 win over the two-time champions in the Matchday 14 games over the weekend at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
Barimah Baah and Nafiu Sulemana scored for the home side before Justus Torsutsey scored a consolation for the away side.
Speaking in the post-game interview, coach Mingle was adamant his side deserved the win in front of its home fans at Abrankese.
“We were the better side and we won. [Coming into the game] We had 20 points and the league leaders had 24 points so if we beat them we cut the lead- down to one point so it motivated us to play because we need to be at the top so if you need to be at the top, beat those at the top.”
Nations FC play Bechem United and Accra Hearts of Oak next on December 22 and December 24 respectively.
